MAY 2008 UPDATE

On Memorial Day, May 26, 2008, Antonino Scolieri of A&S Bagels, Inc. of Franklin Square was the Grand Marshal of the Annual Memorial Day Parade sponsored by the Frank P. Curry Post 2718 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Scolieri said it was a “great honor” to be a part of the event. Many great organizations and/or their members took part of the event, which include, members of the Franklin Square Chamber of Commerce, the sons of Italy, the Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department, the Lions Club, the Girl Scouts, The Franklin Square Bulletin, the Morton Civic Association, and more.

On May 4, 2008, A&S Bagels sponsored the Long Island Marathon. The marathon is in its 36th year, and this year was a great success. Congratulations to all the participants and volunteers for a job well done. The marathon started in Eisenhower Park in Nassau County, New York.
