What does "Par-Baked" Bagel mean?

Par-Baked Bagels from A&S Bagels are used by bagel stores, hotels, specialty coffee-shops and bakeries throughout the country. Par-Baked A&S Bagels are made, boiled and baked in the A&S Bagel Bakery. However, they are partially baked; this means that you finish the baking or browning of the bagel in your oven. That is why par-baked bagels are sometimes referred to as being brown and serve bagels.

At the A&S Bagel Bakery, the bagels are boiled in kettles, then baked in a rotating oven. A&S Par-Baked bagels are made available at wholesale prices when purchased in bulk.
